WWE has confirmed in a press release that Patterson has died at the age of 79. Patterson was well known to the young people and other prominent personalities of WWE’s backstage. He was a great wrestler who stood out from the crowd for his long career as a wrestler. He started in Canada, the country where he was born, in 1958. After winning the AWA Tag Team Championship with Ray Stevens in 1978, he was hired by WWE.
