WHAT WE CAN FIND AT MEET VINCENT VAN GOGH EXPERIENCE

Designed by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the exhibition Meet Vincent Van Gogh Experience is a new experience that immerses us in the whole of his work, his life and his thoughts. In an interactive trip, with 3D projections, large-scale stages and an audio guide – in two versions for adults and children – with a voiceover that reviews their most important letters.

The Vincent Van Gogh Experience has an important and more directed didactic component, divided into six spaces. Two of them recreate the scenes of La Casa Amarilla or La habitación de Arles … to be able to walk as if we were inside their works as in Kurosawa’s dream. With an itinerary that begins in El Trigal, among the crows, to glide through flahsbacks until his childhood and develop from there the story.

Focused clearly on the most familiar audience, the exhibition challenges us to participate in various interactive activities. How to draw using a perspective frame, draw portraits or paint digitally using the colors of Vincent’s palette.

The visitor can touch the reproductions of the original works and see, through projections, photographs, video and audio-visual fragments, multimedia animations and quotes from his letters.

The visit is accompanied by an audio guide thanks to which people who were part of the artist’s life appear. Like his brother, his sister-in-law, his mother and many others. In the same way, places of his life as well known as Le Tambourin or the Hospital de Saint-Rémy are present thanks to the decorations of the exhibition.

WHERE TO SEE THE EXHIBITION AND HOW

The Vincent Van Gogh Experience exhibition can be seen in the Pla de Miquel Tarradell in the Port Vell of Barcelona. Every day from 10 a.m. until 9.30 p.m., except on weekends when the schedule is up until 10.30 p.m.

During the week, the cost of admission is € 13 (€ 11 reduced price). On weekends and holidays it costs 15 euros (€ 13 for a reduced price). And on non-holiday Mondays and for groups, the ticket has a cost of 9 euros. Run to buy your tickets before it’s over!
