ROUTES THROUGH ASTURIAS. NATURAL SANCTUARY. DAY 1
We start in Cangas de Onís, privileged entrance to the National Park of the Picos de Europa and symbol of the Reconquest. The Cross of Don Pelayo and the important sample of paleolithic art of the cave of the Buxu, are only some of the reclamations of this prosperous marine town. We will spend the night in this beautiful city strategically located between the sea and the mountains.

The second day we will dedicate to discover the lakes of Enol and Ercina glaciers. Located at more than one thousand meters of altitude, the reflection of the sky in its waters invites to the rest and the contemplation. A must stop in the Sanctuary of Covadonga, a place of pilgrimage where nature, religion and history meet and one of the corners most beloved by the Asturian ones. In the evening we return to Cangas de Onís.

In our third stage we enter the Picos de Europa to discover the Cares gorge, a spectacular hiking route, which crosses a path carved in the same rock with vertiginous cut and crossed by spectacular panoramic bridges, accessible to all ages. In the evening we return to Cangas de Onís.

Flanked by a quiet and beautiful coastline, the town of Llanes stands out for its beautiful old town and for having the second longest medieval wall of northern Spain. From the Paseo de San Pedro you get an unbeatable view of El Sablón beach and, just behind, the city of Llanes. Between the sea, the mountain and the river is the fascinating old town of Ribadesella. After touring you can approach the cave of Tito Bustillo, an authentic jewel of rock art. On the way to Gijón you will find some privileged enclaves, with the best views of the Asturian coast and the Picos de Europa, and seafaring villages with the smell of cider, seafood and fresh fish. The fifth day we dedicate it to Gijón. In it they emphasize its old neighborhood of fishermen, Cimavilla, that guards precious footprints of the rich history of the city; The beach of San Lorenzo and the hill of Santa Catalina, where is the work of Chillida Elogio del horizonte. From Gijón we will head to the Peñas cape, the most northern geographical point of the Asturian coast; To continue in Avilés, where we await a beautiful historic center that coexists with the modern building designed by Óscar Niemeyer; And continue to Cudillero, gate of the Vaqueira region and one of the most beautiful fishing villages on the coast, with a very rich gastronomy and the rugged natural landscape of Cape Vidio. And the last day is for Oviedo. During this day you will have the opportunity to discover its main tourist attractions, among which are the pre-Romanesque churches that are part of Unesco World Heritage. You can also visit the Museum of the Cider in Nava and approach the Muniellos Natural Reserve, which preserves the largest oak tree on the Peninsula and houses a rich fauna.
